Yes, I’m a firm believer of the “everything happens for a reason” motto because I, as well as all of you, am living breathing proof of it. Coincidence is the joker. Although I don’t believe that everything is layed out for us by the gods, I also don’t necessary believe that we are in full control of our lives. Actions, reactions and ideas meet to make things happen and nothing in our life is independent of whatever it is that transpired in our past. Past, present and future are one and the notion of time is but a reference scale to which we turn to to trace our progress, find explanations and engrave our beliefs and faith in life onto.
Why does it hurt us knowing we’re losing less than we’re gaining? Take a second to think about how every loss is compensated with 5 gains, be you conscious of them or not. Think back to how and why this happened, understand the blessing that is the lesson that’s been thrown your way and ponder upon how that life lesson should make you a better person down the line. Albeit the pain is blinding and sometimes mind numbing but the faith in you is the life of you and in my mind, the anti body to the virus that is pain and sorrow.
Count your blessings and find your light.
